Nanoscale Memristor Device and Circuits Design (Paperback): Balwinder Raj, Ahmed Hemani, Abusaleh M. Jabir, Saurabh Khandelwal Nanoscale Memristor Device and Circuits Design (Paperback)
Balwinder Raj, Ahmed Hemani, Abusaleh M. Jabir, Saurabh Khandelwal
R3,912 Discovery Miles 39 120 Ships in 12 - 17 working days

Nanoscale Memristor Device and Circuits Design provides theoretical frameworks, including (i) the background of memristors, (ii) physics of memristor and their modeling, (iii) menristive device applications, and (iv) circuit design for security and authentication. The book focuses on a broad aspect of realization of these applications as low cost and reliable devices. This is an important reference that will help materials scientists and engineers understand the production and applications of nanoscale memrister devices. A memristor is a two-terminal memory nanoscale device that stores information in terms of high/low resistance. It can retain information even when the power source is removed, i.e., "non-volatile." In contrast to MOS Transistors (MOST), which are the building blocks of all modern mobile and computing devices, memristors are relatively immune to radiation, as well as parasitic effects, such as capacitance, and can be much more reliable. This is extremely attractive for critical safety applications, such as nuclear and aerospace, where radiation can cause failure in MOST-based systems.

Leakage Current and Ground Bounce Noise Aware MTCMOS Techniques (Paperback): Shashikant Sharma, Manisha Pattanaik, Balwinder Raj Leakage Current and Ground Bounce Noise Aware MTCMOS Techniques (Paperback)
Shashikant Sharma, Manisha Pattanaik, Balwinder Raj
R1,063 Discovery Miles 10 630 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

As technology is continuously scaling down leakage current is increasing exponentially. Contribution of leakage current is around 50% to the total operational power of digital circuits. With increasing demand of portable battery operated devices like cell phones, pagers and laptops, low power design has become important design style for future battery powered devices. This exponential increase in leakage power has made Multi-Threshold CMOS (MTCMOS) technique an attractive design choice for low power application. Conventional MTCMOS techniques for minimizing leakage current gives rise to ground bounce noise during mode transition which is also an important challenge and reduces the reliability of the circuit. In this work different multi-threshold CMOS techniques have been presented and compared which uses the concept of forward body biasing, diode connected MOS, ultra low power diode and signal stepping.Proposed designs has shown significant improvement in ground bounce noise and standby leakage current as compared to designs proposed in past.
